Making Choices to Change Your Life

Experiences that bring joy or pain are experiences of choice. Sometimes this is hard to comprehend, for who among us ever wants to experience pain? The magic here is understanding that making NO choice brings what will come unchosen, thus we have a chance for joy, but also a chance for pain. However, should we come to the understanding that in each moment we need to consciously CHOOSE how we will experience what we are about to face, we bring forward the creation of our desires.

 

Look at it this way. You are facing a moment that has not yet come to pass. Foresee it as you want it to unfold. Choose the peace. Choose the joy. Choose the acceptance. Then watch it unfold. However, should you simply flow into the moment without choice, perhaps it will be peaceful, but then again, perhaps it will be challenging. As you approach life changes with trepidation and concern, that is the power you bring forth. But even with the fear in the anticipation of what might be, if you sit back and choose how you want it to be experienced, you have the opportunity to allow peace to wash over the moment.

 

And you now ask, can we change the outcome? The outcome already exists. It is HOW you will have the experience that you can control through your choice. You cannot bring peace into the heart of another, but you can choose peace for yourself. In this choice, your peace impacts the other, thus changing the experience of the moment.

 

It takes presence to remember to make choices for what will be. It takes attention to your heart's desires. It takes a moment of quiet to go within and visualize and choose the outcome of the next moment, the next hour, the next day. Explore this with your own heart. Play with the power of choice. Perhaps you will shop for something you think will be hard to find; choose instead the ease with which you will uncover the prize. Perhaps you have trepidation regarding the next day at work; choose instead how peaceful the day will be.

 

Play with your power to choose how your life's experiences will unfold... be present and conscious in all moments, and thus allow your life to be the joy you have always wanted it to be.
